<p>In a city once traversed by carriage and hoof, you can meander the cobblestones and pavements to some of the most sophistifcated dog friendly bars, restaurants and cafes in London.</p>

<p>Looking for something to do on the weekend which is easily accessible for you and your fur baby? Whatever time of the year, Canary Wharf has become one of the most dog friendly areas in London. It would be quite ironic if Canary Wharf wasn't pooch friendly as it is located in the Isle of Dogs.<br><br>From taking your pooch through their shopping malls, yearly events like the Winter Lights, to bougie sea faring bars like The Boathouse, pictured above, it is a place for all. Easily accessible by tube and the Elizabeth Line, enjoy an afternoon of shopping or strolling through the various parks and waterfronts then stop for a bougie cocktail and a light bite at <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://boathouselondon.co.uk/cocktail-lounge/canary-wharf/">The Boathouse</a>.</p><p></p>

<h3>The Fence</h3><p>Tucked away a few minutes walk down cowcross street is a little bar called <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.thefenceuk.co.uk">The Fence</a>. There is nothing on it's website to state it is pet friendly or anywhere online to state as much. The only thing you will find is a tiny sticker on the window stating The Fence is pet friendly.<br><br>This is what myself and The Bougie Staffy love, finding the little known places where locals congregate for a light bite and catching up with pals, both human and animal. <br><br>What I love about The Fence is their outdoor seating, proximity to Farringdon station and their fabulous friendly staff. During peak times, expect to wait to order drinks as this trendy and popular bar can get rammed.<br><br>All year round this place is buzzing as the outdoor area has heaters and the atmosphere is delightful.</p><p>A little note, if your pooch is not fond of the sounds trains going by, sit indoors.<br><br></p><h3>The Union Tavern</h3><p>On the corner of Farringdon road, adjacent to Royal Mail's Mount Pleasant office is this quaint pub with street side seats in summer which offers delightful meals and a bougie atmosphere. Again, not advertised as pooch friendly but a fab place to wind down with friends for a meal and a few pints.</p>

<h3>Fullers Pubs</h3><p>Fullers are a chain of pubs in London and surrounding areas which are known to be pooch friendly, even in the most touristy areas of London such as Trafalgar Square's The Admiralty.  <br><br>The Admirality is a pub you should visit.
